The Chequamegon Bay Soccer club was formed in 2003. It was one family’s pursuit to provide the Chequamegon Bay area with more competitive soccer that brought about the structure that eventually became the non-profit organization in 2004.
Originally formed as the “Chequamegon Soccer Club”, it grew quickly in size and popularity. Over time and with hours of volunteer/community involvement, new fields were created west of the Ashland High School to provide even more opportunities for play.
CBSC has had more than 2,500 participants since its inception!

CBSC is unique in having two distinct slates of board members for fall league (recreational) & spring league (competitive/travel). Together, these boards work to serve our area’s seasonal soccer needs. Each board meets regularly throughout the year to strategize and implement coach & player development, field & equipment management, fundraising, scheduling, and player registration. Send an email through our contact page if you’re interested in becoming a board member.
